I’m Akorede J. Ayanbisi
A multidisciplinary designer with a background in finance. I'm proficient in product, icon, illustration, and interaction design, as well as Framer development (No-code).
I love crafting human-centered products that shape the future of purposeful digital products and designs that convert effectively.
I have loved design since I was 11 years old. I can vividly remember how fascinated I would become when looking at business logos and signage every time I stepped out in a moving vehicle.
I didn't realize I had a passion for designing physical products until 2013 when I learned shoemaking while waiting for my university admission to come through.
In 2015, while designing shoe patterns and making shoes, I also delved into digital marketing, social media management and graphics design using tools like Corel Draw and Canva. I combined all of these with other hustles just to make ends meet.
Fast forward to 2019, I made another significant decision to embark on a new career journey as a product designer, with a burning passion for creating human-centered user interfaces and experiences that shape the future of purposeful digital products.
In 2020, the COVID-19 lockdown turned out to be a blessing for me as it propelled my journey. I deeply immersed myself in learning, upskilling, and honing my product, UI, and UX skills to the maximum.
The journey has been amazing ever since then, as I started to grow in my career.
In 2022, I invested in traveling and had the opportunity to visit two beautiful African countries, Seychelles 🇸🇨 and Rwanda 🇷🇼. I hope to visit more countries as traveling is one of my hobbies.
Traveling is essential because it allows one to see life from different perspectives, and this greatly contributes to how I design solutions that solve real problems.
In 2023, I successfully earned my bachelor's degree in Finance from the University of Lagos, Nigeria (UNILAG), a journey that took seven years due to the challenges posed by COVID-19 and various internal issues at the university.
